We meet

In a warm February morning there is a Meetup event to do a hike from Barcelona to Olesa de Montserrat. Alex, after trying to take bus V21, arrives 5 min late. The whole group, including Ola, waits for him, although if it had been for Ola, they would not have waited a single minute. Luckily the organiser decided to wait! (maybe we should send him a thank you gift). After some of the first kilometers we began talking and did not finish until the end of the 40 Km "stroll". The next day Alex sends an e-mail to Ola and so begins the whole story.

We do it again

The following weekend there is another Meetup event to walk again 40 Km from Barcelona. We join the event and this time Alex is the first one to arrive (and Ola the second one).

Puigsacalm

Our first hike with only the two of us! We climb Puigsacalm, it is a beautiful day and the route is very interesting. We talk all the time and therefore we get lost while going to the hike's starting point, and we arrive there at 12pm instead of 9am as planned; then we hike at the speed of a snail. As a consequence we arrive down when it is already dark, telling stories about werewolves that surely live in the zone and are lurking, especially in nights with a full moon... It was so beautiful!

Basque Country

Our first trip together! We decide to spend the 1st of May in the Basque Country, visiting Pamplona, Bilbao, Donostia and finally the ruins of the Canfranc train station.

Mayonnaise

The moment to make the first homemade mayonnaise has finally arrived.

"Rosquillas"

A plan to make "rosquillas" begins, we buy the olive oil and "Anís del Mono"... then we decide we maybe will make them by Easter 2015... The "rosquillas" have still not been made. It does not matter, there is plenty of time.

Switzerland

We travel to Switzerland. Eight days of visiting postcard-like towns, admiring alpine nature, taking black and white photos of fireworks and climbing Jungfraujoch with Europe's highest railway to build a snowman in mid-summer.

Turkey

We travel to the Anatolian peninsula. In 10 days we ride 2783 Km from Cappadocia, through Antalya, Fethiye, Pamukkale, Küçükkuyu and Troy to Istanbul. We are astonished by the beauty of the landscapes and the way of living in towns and cities. And, of course, the taste of kebab.

To celebrate our first year together, we make cookies in the shape of Santa Claus. It is February but there is no problem at all.
